Emerson Canada, Application & Customer Service in Flow Controls has an opening for a Customer Service Associate based in our Hamilton, Ontario office. The Customer Service Associate is an integral part of the Lifecycle Services service model, working nearly every aspect of a customer request. As a Customer Service Associate, you are directly responsible for executing customer parts orders, assisting with workforce planning and service delivery schedules and supporting quality assurance processes. With general direction, you will act as the primary liaison between customers, Premier Service Providers, Regional Machining Center site management and Final Control product engineers as needed.

AS A CUSTOMER SERVICE ASSOCIATE, YOU WILL :

  • Responsible for parts order execution and entry including price review, delivery, release, and work scope/planning activities.
  • Works closely with operations team on scheduling of work and ensuring material sourcing plans support customer promise dates.
  • Transacts basic buying and planning responsibilities using AXIOM and Oracle systems.
  • Enters purchase orders handles transactional discussions to/with suppliers.
  • Understands MSDS guidelines and practices and applies them to customer orders and requests as executed.
  • May assist with repair quoting and order entry as needed and under the direction of the internal fulfillment specialist or RMC site leadership.
  • Ensures all processes from quote, purchase and final documentation are accurately captured for future reference. Requires a full understanding of the Quality Management System and processes.
  • Ability to facilitate technical question and answers between customers, valve technicians, Emerson engineering resources and other stakeholders.
  • Completes import and export compliance administrative paperwork.
  • Ability to follow procedures and guidelines on distribution of intellectual property.
  • May perform basic inventory transactions, including physical inventory processing, as instructed.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS :

  • High School diploma and 4+ year of previous industry related experience OR :

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Inventory Control, or a related field with a combination of previous service work experience.

  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn proprietary systems

  • Strong communication skills both oral and written

  • Ability to meet deadlines

  • Ability to prioritize competing demands

  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

  • Authorized to work in Canada without sponsorship now or in the future.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS :

  • Understanding or work experience with Fisher and Final Control product preferred
