* The Program Accounting Analyst will contribute to the efficient and effective workings of the finance department by executing daily tasks with a strong attention to detail. This role will utilize strong accounting knowledge, time management skills and effective problem solving to ensure success. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Accounts Receivable_
  • Invoicing customers as per the required schedule, weekly, monthly, etc.
  • Process monthly progress billings for architectural millwork jobs
  • Processing payments, producing statement of accounts, collections on overdue accounts, preparing statutory declarations and account reconciliation when required.
  • Tracking work order on progress billing spreadsheets.
  • Searching for last day worked published on Daily Commercial News (DCN) once customer jobs are complete if required.
  • Call customers to ensure payments are received on time and follow up on any outstanding invoices including sending out monthly statements.
  • Arrange customer cheque pickup via Purolator when necessary.
  • Run reports as required.
  • Customer account maintenance.

BACKUP PROJECT ACCOUNTING ANALYST DUTIES :

  • Accounts Receivable_
  • Track and record holdbacks received.
  • Banking, processing bank deposits, cash flow projections, and all associated finance entries.
  • Run reports as required.
  • Customer account maintenance.
  • Accounts Payable_
  • Manage approvals, receiving and accounts payable invoice entry for all installation costs as well as managing installer Holdbacks tracking and release.
  • Process and post reoccurring monthly payments in Accounts Payable system.
  • Assist with raw material inventory Purchase Order Accounts Payable invoice entries as required.
  • Accounting Duties_
  • Assisting with monthly and year end tasks.
  • Assist with special projects as required.
  • Maintain the Sales Invoice Forecast for updating newly awarded jobs and reconcile monthly billing to final forecast for the month
  • Assist with reconciliation of monthly Progress billing General Ledger account and create internal invoicing for revenue recognition
  • Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations related to project costs; Prepaid Vendor Job Costs, AR Holdback, Customer Deposit, & Progress Billing.
  • Monthly analysis of Programs from PMR Reports to the financial profitability of the projects in Seradex.
  • Protect the company's value by keeping information confidential.

YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE :

  • 2 - 5 years of accounts receivable experience preferred.
  • Construction experience an asset.
  • Worked with an ERP Accounting system in the past.
  • Self-starter, organized, attention to detail, deadline oriented, hands-on.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Must have excellent work habits, including a willingness to work the hours necessary to get the job done, especially when important deadlines cause greater than normal departmental pressures.
  • MS Office experience required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

EDUCATION & TRAINING

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or equivalent
