TITLE : CUSTOMER SERVICE SPECIALIST

HOURS :Part-time, 20-30 hours/week

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :

  1. Greet and welcome guests in a professional manner.

  2. Direct visitors to appropriate staff member.

  3. Ensure reception/welcome area remains tidy and presentable. Including organizing and cleaning reception area each day.

  4. Provide basic and accurate information to individuals inquiring.

  5. Retrieve, sort and deliver mail.

  6. Process adoptions, payments and complete daily cash outs. Including filing receipts and cash sheets in appropriate locations.

  7. Assist Kennel Supervisor as required.

  8. Coordinate with shelter staff for appointments, intakes, adoptions, and scheduling.

10.Perform other clerical duties as required. Such as; filing, photocopying, and message taking.

11.Additional tasks assigned as required

REQUIREMENTS :

  • Must have received High School Diploma or GED
  • Proven relevant work experience
  • Able to multitask and prioritize tasks accordingly
  • Able to work independently and with a team
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
  • Strong computer and data entry skills
  • Professional attitude and appearance
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :

  • Frequent sitting and standing.
  • The position holder must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • While performing the duties of this job this position may be exposed to animal odors or airborne particles.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Job Types : Casual, Part-time Part-time hours: 20 per week

Salary : $15.00-$17.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • Evening shift

Work Location: One location
