About the Opportunity : Sydney, Nova Scotia is seeking a full-time Medical Oncologist to join its collaborative Oncology Department at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital (CBRH). Working with multidisciplinary professionals at the Cape Breton Cancer Center, this opportunity will appeal to the specialist who wants to be part of a broad-based Oncology Department. They will have a unique opportunity to shape cancer care for the future of Cape Breton by having input and impact on the new Cancer Centre which broke ground in 2020. The specialist will also be provided with the opportunity to engage in research and/or have a medical teaching position with Dalhousie University, should that be of interest.

About Cape Breton Regional Hospital Cape Breton Regional Hospital is a 250 bed tertiary care institution that provides a broad range of medical care to patients in the Eastern Zone of the Nova Scotia Health Authority. Cape Breton Regional Hospital Oncology Department is small enough to be intimate, yet large enough to provide opportunities to make a rewarding contribution to cancer treatment in Nova Scotia.

  • Full time

Qualifications : To be considered for this position, you must:

  • Be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
  • Hold certification in Medical Oncology with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCPC) or equivalent
  • Be eligible for membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
