The Verschuren Centre Inc has an open access service model to grow client technologies in clean technology and biomanufacturing, recently expanding its lab and pilot facilities into a large demonstration plant providing up to 10,000 L fermentation. Our mission is to enable companies to reach full commercialization in a cost effective, supportive ecosystem. We are seeking an experienced operations manager to oversee the bio teams.

Duties and Responsibilities :

• Oversee day-to-day operations (budgets,workplans,etc.).
• Monitor and analyze operational performance, identifying areas for improvement.
• Ensure efficient use of resources and adherence to budgetary constraints.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize processes and achieve business objectives.
• Manage workflow and motivate a team of employees (Subject Matter Experts), providing guidance and support as needed.
• Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork and high performance.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to drive innovation and continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Eligibility : You have an educational background in a relevant field, coupled with experience in the industry. You are a highly detailed, focused strategic thinker with excellent analytical and relationship

• building skills. You enjoy solving problems in collaboration with a small team and have strong communication skills required to do so. You show understanding of the organization's needs and aspirations; have experience with sales & management.

Additionally, you possess excellent project management, organizational and time-management skills, with a demonstrated history of meeting deliverables with a sense of urgency.

Your qualifications include:

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a leadership role.
• Proven experience in operations management or a similar role.
• Basic knowledge of Fermentation / bioprocess is an asset.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)/ Accounting software.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
