General Maintenance/custodian Worker - The

Position Title : Maintenance/Custodian (Full time) Reports to : Principal Hours of Work : Monday - Friday, within the hours of 7am - 6pm. Travel required between 2 School Campuses :Nobleton & Milton. Compensation : Compensation will be determined by level of experience.

The Role The School Maintenance/Custodian worker works to create a clean, orderly, and safe environment by performing a wide variety of cleaning and maintenance activities on site.

Success

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Dusting and sanitizing surfaces
  • Wet and dry mopping
  • Performs cleaning functions while operating cleaning equipment, light maintenance duties and occasional exterior work.
  • Garbage and recycle collection and removal (inside and outside)
  • Snow removal, salting and sanding as required for safety
  • Maintain cleanliness of the building and grounds in all respects.
  • Perform related duties as required for the daily operations of the school.
  • Maintenance of Logs and Files.
  • Follow assigned cleaning schedules to maintain expected standards of cleanliness.
  • Follow School practices, procedures in relation to attendance, health and safety.
  • Co-operates with colleagues, staff and students to assist in creating positive working relationships.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Up-to-date Vulnerable Sector Screening
  • Strengths in organizational skills, and communication skills
