Key Responsibilities :

  • Conform to quality control standards and constructions specifications, drawings, sketches, layout boards, etc., and/or verbal instructions
  • Operate brush or spray equipment as required and is responsible for proper storage and handling of all consumables, paints and painting supplies
  • Read, understand and follow working instructions/directions, policies and procedures
  • Attend production meetings daily, report status of jobs in progress and upcoming production plans
  • Maintain frequent contract with QC and Production to ensure all painting and coating requirements are met
  • Follow the company safe work procedures and legislated safety requirements
  • Comply with all WHMIS and environmental regulations regarding the storage, use and disposal of hazardous chemicals
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications :

  • A minimum of 1 year of Industrial or automotive painting experience
  • Auto Body experience or Trade Certificate
  • Familiarity with tank, vessel and pipe coating
  • Ability to calculate values in Metric and Imperial
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to give and take clear direction; verbal and written
  • Detailed oriented and willing to function as part of a highly motivated team
  • WHMIS, Fall Protection, and Confined Space training
  • Must pass pre-employment physical demands and abilities assessment
