Position Summary As a Business/Data Analyst, you will be an integral part of a collaborative team focused on delivering key projects on time and as per the agreed scope. You will deliver comprehensive analysis and insight into projects and reporting solutions, in response to diverse requests driving key business decisions and recommending possible business improvements. You'll support the position using tools such as SSRS Report Builder, Power BI, Visio and Microsoft Project. You will produce detailed documentation on processes and workflows. What you'll be doing • Participate in and/or lead projects • Facilitate process and data source improvement initiatives by designing, writing and implementing process documentation based on collected business and process requirements • Elicit requirements using interviews, documents, business, product and workflow analysis • Collect and analyze the project's business requirements and transfer the same knowledge to the development team • Prepare/review system documentation and specifications in accordance with methodology • Critically evaluate information across multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level data into details and abstract up from low-level data, to a general understanding of the information • Ability to communicate(verbal and written) with business units that rely on information to define system requirements or organizational processes • Support stakeholders with analysis and ad hoc information requests, including performance metrics through compilation and interpretation of data pulled from various resources, according to established timelines What we're looking for • Bachelor degree in information Technology, Business Administration or related discipline • 2 years' experience in business, accounting, business analysis or computer science • Excellent knowledge of both SQL based report writing tools (Microsoft Report Builder) and Power BI as an output for data • Knowledge of relational database and multi-dimensional design concepts • Strong analytical skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret and translate stakeholder business needs into application and operational requirements • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Detail oriented with strong analytical thinking and problem solving skills • Proficiency in MS Office 365 • Strong project management, organizational abilities and time management • Creative, resourceful and able to take initiative • Able to multi-task, maintain accuracy and work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment of ambiguity and rapid change • Able to work independently with little supervision and at the same time work well within a team & provide leadership as needed • Demonstrate interpersonal skills with a strong focus on customer service As part of our commitment to the health and safety of our patients, staff and community from COVID-19, subject to any accommodation required by applicable human rights legislation, Homewood Health Centre requires that all staff have received all required doses of a COVID-19 vaccine approved by Health Canada.
