About you

To be successful, you should have:

  • 3+ years of experience practicing litigation law
  • Called to the Bar in Ontario and in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
  • Demonstrated experience in handling various stages of litigation proceedings.
  • Strong research, analytical, and writing skills.
  • Effective communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Commitment to professionalism, integrity, and client service excellence.

About the role

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Research cases, identify issues, develop strategies
  • Draft legal docs for court proceedings —pleadings, motions, affidavits, etc.
  • Represent clients in court, trials, arbitrations, and mediations
  • Conduct examinations, cross-examinations
  • Negotiate settlements and ADR processes.
  • Build relationships with clients, experts, and lawyers.
  • Provide ongoing legal advice, guidance, and interest protection
  • Stay updated on legal changes, trends
  • Manage caseload prioritizing tasks
  • Uphold ethical standards and confidentiality
