Alamos Gold’s Island Gold is one of Canada’s highest grade and lowest cost gold mines. This underground operation is located just east of the town of Dubreuilville, 83 kilometres northeast of Wawa in Northern Ontario. Primary Responsibilities: - Filling of oil cups and reservoirs, oiling and greasing of all mechanical equipment in the plant, like shaft and motor bearings, sprockets, drive chains, gears, and pulleys, according to procedures, schedules and oral instructions - Refill, replace and adjust auto lubricating systems with oil/grease - Force grease into bearings with grease-gun, smear grease on friction surfaces, or pack grease cups by hand. - Change filters, change out barrels and change totes to ensure solvents, oils and greases are available when needed. - Refill containers, oilcans, grease guns and bulk tanks with the specified lubricant. - Responsible for routine collection, labelling and disposal of waste lubricants and lubricant contaminated wastes according to site procedures - Help to reduce waste of oil, solvents. - Routine preventative maintenance inspections, adjustment, and troubleshooting when eeded. - Report preventative maintenance inspections, adjustment, and troubleshooting when needed. - Report equipment issues, unsafe or unusual workplace conditions, and spillage immediately to Supervision. - Clean machines, rads, equipment, sweep floors, and transport stock - Assist millwrights when planned and unplanned maintenance repairs require additional help. - Maintain good housekeeping of all shop and work areas - Use equipment, forklift, Genie, zoom boom, Toyotas to complete daily tasks on equipment. - Work order time entry and completion - All other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor Qualifications: - Grade 12 - Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar function - Minimum of 12 months working experience in ore processing - Hydraulic experience preferred - Clear, active communicator - Works effectively independently and collaboratively within a team - Mechanical knowledge of maintaining equipment used within the milling process - Understanding of mill processes and relationship between operating areas - Organized Alamos Gold Inc.
