Job Description

The Office of the Sergeant-at-Arms and Corporate Security is currently looking to staff the Senior Administrator, Project Management position.

As the incumbent of this position, you will undertake a range of project research, analysis, reporting, implementation, and administrative activities to support the development and delivery of projects, in line with established project plans and objectives. This entails providing operational support, monitoring project progress, updating and maintaining project documentation, and assisting in preparing project briefs for decision-making. Additionally, you will assist the project team in task completion and project implementation and communicate with relevant stakeholders to provide updates regarding project status and implementation issues.

Qualifications

Education

  • Post-secondary education in a related field (e.g., Business Administration, Project Management, Public Administration, Security Management), or a related discipline OR a combination of education and work experience.

Experience

  • Experience in project support and administration role and/or knowledge of project management theories, principles, practices, and methodologies;
  • Exposure to basic research and analysis activities in a project context;
  • Strong organizational and time management skills;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (priority may be given to candidates with a CBC or higher linguistic profile).

Assets

  • Experience in project and/or security management;
  • Background in a relevant security discipline (e.g. Business Resilience, Physical Security, Personal Security, Investigations, Risk Assessments, etc.);
  • Certifications such as CAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management) or PMP (Project Management Professional).
