Our client is a distinguished premier full service mid-sized law firm in the heart of Downtown Hamilton. They are currently seeking a Corporate Law Clerk to join their practice.

Your new role

As a Corporate Law Clerk, you will be working on 1:2 workshare with the Partners. Your tasks will involve preparing corporate legal documents (including but not limited to: incorporations, amalgamations, acquisitions, reorganization, amendments), conducting corporate searches and minute book due diligence reviews, maintaining minute books and corporate files. Working closely with the lawyers, you will demonstrate your ability to work independently and efficiently in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

What you'll need to succeed

To succeed in this position, the firm is seeking an experienced candidate with a minimum of 5 years of corporate clerking experience, and must have successfully completed a community college law clerk course. Rich experience in document preparation of Annual Resolutions, Articles of Incorporation, Amalgamation and Continuance is a must. Knowledge of PPSA and supporting documents are highly preferred. Exceptional organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment are essential. Proficiency in MS Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, LEAP OnCorp/E-Core, and DocuSign are also required.

In addition to two remote working days, salary ranges from $70,000-75,000 (dependent on experience) along with 3 to 4 weeks of vacation and 6 personal days.
