REQUIRED AVAILABILITY

Every day, Tuesday to Saturday between 10 am and 5 pm*, with flexibility to work additional hours or the full day, if needed.

  • Note: start and finish times will vary according to the restaurant's needs

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Front of House :_
  • Operate Point of Sale system: accurately enter orders and process payments
  • Memorize menu and help customers with order options; upsell; promote new menu items
  • Take phone orders
  • Confirm online delivery orders; check that menu items are available each day; update menu as needed
  • Dispense drinks, keep drinks fridge stocked
  • Maintain front of house cleanliness and health and safety standards at all times
  • Serving Station :_
  • Prepare and bag walk-in customers’ orders
  • Prepare and bag phone orders in time for customer pick-up
  • Prepare and bag orders for online delivery orders for courier pick-up; follow-up if courier fails to arrive at expected time
  • Perform regular inventory checks to ensure there is sufficient quantity of food, packaging, etc. at all times
  • Maintain serving station cleanliness and health and safety standards at all times
  • Other Duties :_

During less busy times help out in the kitchen with food prep, dishwashing, light cooking, etc.

EXPERIENCE

  • operating point of sale system
  • processing online delivery orders such as Skip the Dishes
  • preparing orders in a quick service restaurant
  • kitchen/cooking using equipment such as flat stove, fryer, live fire grilling, working with dough

Physically fit:

  • able to walk, stand in place and perform repetitive manual tasks for extended periods
  • able to lift, move and carry items up to 50 lbs., including up and down a flight of stairs

ASSETS

  • experience cooking West Indian dishes
  • current food handler’s certification

Job Types : Full-time, Part-time Part-time hours: 25-35 per week

Salary : From $15.50 per hour
