Overview

In this critical role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and smooth operation of various projects, including website development, branding and design, social media and digital marketing campaigns, and traditional print media. You will be the driving force behind our projects, overseeing the planning and organization, ensuring operational efficiency, delegating tasks to project team members, and making sure all aspects of any given project are completed on time and within budget.

Primary Responsibilities

The following primary responsibilities are required for this position.

  • Works very closely with the Account Manager to ensure the client’s goals are met. The regular and ongoing collaboration between the Project Manager and Account Manager is critical to building positive client relationships as well as ensuring client accounts are properly and thoroughly managed.

  • Understands the client’s particular needs and objectives as they relate to project deliverables.

  • Takes the AM’s overall vision and applies it to each individual project which could include, but is not limited to:

  • Client audits, internal & external surveys, branding, marketing strategy development, social-digital implementation, and website development

  • Executes the plan for each individual project set out by the Account Manager, which includes working with Strategists, Designers, and Web Developers.

  • Follows our internal processes and procedures including utilizing our pre-set templates for certain marketing services.

  • Provides detailed verbal and written communication to team members to ensure project tasks are understood.

  • Has an understanding of social media, Google, graphic design, web development and other marketing platforms in order to be able to communicate well with the Strategists, Designers, and Web Developers.

  • Ex. Will work with each of those team members to complete internal revisions to be able to get each project stage to a “client ready” state for the Account Manager’s final review before the Account Manager sends it to the client.

  • Manages each individual project from inception to completion.

  • Follows the payment schedule set by the Account Manager by sending invoices once milestones have been met.

  • Oversees operational aspects of projects to ensure efficiency and timely completion.

  • Delegate tasks to various team members involved and ensure the optimal utilization of company resources for successful project delivery.

  • Ensure project deadlines are met, and projects are delivered within budget.

  • A majority of the communication will be conducted through each project Slack channel so other team members can follow along.

  • Ability to work with the team to create reports that highlight key metrics and KPIs to assess performance to date as well as forecast project projections.

  • Assessing, managing, and mitigating project risks. Identify scope creep items as they arise and notify the AM to see if a Scope of Work Addendum is needed to both meet the needs of the client as well as ensure project profitability.

  • Brainstorm’s account and project ideas with the Account Manager.

Secondary Responsibilities

The following responsibilities are not required, but are additional skills that may be necessary depending on overall client load and team capacity.

  • With training, act as both the Account Manager and Project Manager by handling all client communication as well as team communication to ensure a project’s success.
  • Assess, manage, and mitigate project risks. Identify scope creep items as they arise and write a Scope of Work Addendum if needed in order to both meet the needs of the client as well as ensure project profitability.
  • Is able to handle the responsibility of both client communication and project management set out above.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, advertising, public relations, business, and/or related fields
  • 2 years of project management
  • 3 years of digital marketing within a marketing agency
  • Project management certification is considered a bonus

Desired Skills & Qualities :

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to develop relationships with agency employees.
  • Strong documentation and organizational skills, with meticulous attention to detail and follow-up.
  • General knowledge of website development processes and technology including an understanding of WordPress.
  • Passion and drive for the marketing industry.
