You’ll be supported with the time you need to meet the needs of your clients, meet your own needs, develop yourself and your career, and to be part of a team.Subsidized OPSWA membershipsPaid travel time, between clientsMobile device and 3 uniforms provided Qualifications accepted to work as a PSW: Valid Certificate as a Personal Support Worker (PSW)RN or RPN Nursing student (2 clinical placements completed)Valid Developmental Support WorkerHome Support Level 2 or level 3 from a recognized curriculumForeign trained healthcare professional - Nurse or Physician Requirements: current standard First Aid / CPR level C Certificate A valid driver’s license and vehicle.Current immunization record (TB test completed within the past 12 months) is required upon hireCurrent vulnerable sector check screening is required upon hireAvailability to work days OR evenings; including weekendsAble to work independently as well as part of a team, with excellent organizational skills to manage your scheduleWell-developed interpersonal and customer service skills, to effectively communicate with clients and to provide companionship to those who need itEffective problem-solving and conflict management skillsBasic computer/smartphone skills would be an asset.This is a physically demanding position and requires hand, arm and shoulder dexterity, sensory ability, lifting to a maximum of approximately fifty-five (55) pounds, walking, climbing stairs, standing, bending, reaching, and frequent movement To be eligible for the PSW ROS, a Personal Support Worker must: Successfully completed an Ontario PSW training program on or after April 1, 2023, at a public-assisted college, private career college, district school board or Indigenous Institute that meets the 2022 program standard established by the Ontario Ministry of Colleges and Universities Ontario Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities program standardBegin employment with a participating employer between April 1, 2023, and March 31, 2026; andCommit to 12 months of employment at a full-time work schedule At SE, we love what we do.
