The role of the Bilingual Employment & Labour Law Paralegal will play a vital role in conducting research, assisting with, and organizing case files for cases involving labor disputes, terminations, discrimination, health and safety issues, or workers' compensation. You will utilize your exceptional communication skills to draft legal correspondence, prepare legal briefs and documents, and conduct interviews with employees or witnesses, while efficiently collecting information from third parties as needed. Your keen analytical abilities will be instrumental in performing due diligence research, monitoring provincial employment law developments that impact organizational policy, and handling non-financial regulatory compliance filings. You will be passionate about employment and labour law, possess strong organizational skills, and thrive in fast-paced environments. The Ideal Candidate will bring:Post-secondary degree, Diploma, or Certificate in a relevant area of study and holding a relevant legal designation (e.g. Paralegal)Fluent bilingualism (French and English)3+ years of experience in the employment and labour fieldExperience in HR compliance/case management would be considered an asset.Knowledge of industry trends, developments, and employment-related laws in Ontario and QuebecMust have or be able to obtain a Secret-level security clearance.Occasional travel is required.Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work and navigate multiple tasks.Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to adapt to a variety of working styles.Strong analytical skills to audit and verify compliance data and offer solutions.Strong attention to detail with commitment to high-quality, accurate workHandling of confidential information in an ethical and professional mannerSelf-Management - Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently to achieve results.Familiarity working with the HRTO, WSIB, MOL, and arbitration and collective bargaining procedures.If you are interested in this position, please contact Crystal at for further details
