In this role, you will:Management and Decision MakingResponsible for the Network design/implementation/support of all Meridian locationsDefine and execute maintenance plans as part of IT’s preventive strategy for the stability and reliability of our InfrastructureDeploy networking solutions by using the Azure Portal and other methods, including PowerShell, Azure Command-Line Interface (CLI), and Azure Resource Manager templates (ARM templates)Develop and test new network architecture in response to business-driven requests for additional functionalityMaximizing network performance by monitoring performance, troubleshooting network problems and outages, scheduling upgrades, and collaborating with other specialists on network optimizationSecuring network systems by establishing and enforcing policies, and defining and monitoring accessMaintain production support processes to ensure that teams are following documented processes to resolve issuesReporting network operational status by gathering and prioritizing information and managing projectsConfiguration and administration of routing and switching equipment, hosted IP voice services, firewalls, SD-WAN solutions, load balancers and branch WiFi in line with IT security policiesCapacity management and audit of IP addressing and hosted devices within data centersAssess workload, operational needs and ensure a balanced distribution across the Network Operations teamProvide mentorship and expertise to less senior members to allow for knowledge growth and collaboration across the teamRegularly follow up and assess work being completed for completeness and effectiveness of deliveryWork with direct manager to determine work tasks that will help individuals with training and growth plansSupply direct manager with input into team and staff personal performanceAssist in building and maintaining standard operating procedures for all assigned technologiesServiceCommunicate issues in a timely manner and propose effective solutions to management with regards to 3rd level technology incidents (including research, analysis, and troubleshooting of a variety of undefined problems)Engage with vendors to isolate and troubleshoot networking issues, identify root cause and apply a permanent fixAssist in identifying and escalating performance issues, and make recommendations on ensuring the existing infrastructure environment operates in accordance with our SLA’sCoordinate with team members to plan and execute assigned tasks and initiatives, determining timelines to best fit business connectivity, routing, security, and private access to Azure servicesDetail IP routing knowledge (OSPF, BGP, MPLS based IP VPN’s)Experience with Network Load BalancersExperience in the implementation
