Maturity, impeccable judgment, and the ability to influence and lead are essential to success in this role.Responsibilities:Develop software for a complete cloud infrastructure software stack.Develop high quality designs and code based on Kubernetes, containerized applications, distributed cloud systems, and cloud infrastructure management.Work as part of a team focused on containerizationand fault tolerant/carrier grade development.Work with the most dynamic and exciting open-source software projects today – Kubernetes, KubeVirt, Helm, Ansible, Puppet, OSTree.Develop and deliver platform upgrade features with high quality design and code.Investigate and resolve issues reported during product verification and customer integration.Participate in all aspects of the software development process using agile development.BasicQualifications:Bachelor’s/ Master’sdegreeinComputer Science orrelated field.7+years ofprofessionalsoftware developmentexperience5+ years of programming experience with Python3+ years ofprogramming experience with C/C++preferred2+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns,reliabilityand scaling) of new and current systems.Preferred Qualifications:5+yearsof professionalexperience in buildinginfrastructure softwarefor highly scalable and distributed systems. Track record of building and delivering mission critical, 24x7 production software systems. Proficient in C/C++, shell scriptingProficient in L2/L3 networkingWorking knowledge of SQL, exposure to postgreSQLExperience with Debian packaging, ostreeContribution to the open-source community. Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive.Strong analytical and debugging skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
