We are seeking five Business Consultants for diverse and impactful projects with our Edmonton government client. These roles encompass a range of responsibilities from organization and service transformation, point of sale system planning, establishing planning and governance practices, to developing a comprehensive security program. The successful candidates will lead and document strategic plans, facilitate stakeholder engagements, manage risk, and drive change management initiatives. Responsibilities • Lead, facilitate, and document strategic plans and priorities aligned with the department's vision. • Facilitate workshops and focus groups, and deliver presentations to executives, staff, and other stakeholders. • Develop and execute comprehensive change management and communication plans. • Create detailed business cases, including financial modeling, cost-benefit analyses, and implementation strategies. • Ensure completeness and consistency of documentation through rigorous content review and quality assurance processes. Qualifications Mandatory Qualifications: The proposed resource must meet or exceed one of the following combinations of education or certification and experience in the resource role: • University degree in business, management or a related discipline and four years of related experience; OR two-year diploma in business, management or a related discipline from a recognized post- secondary institution and six years of related experience; OR one-year certificate in business, management or a related discipline from a recognized post-secondary institution and seven years of related experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group. • 5 years of experience assisting clients to execute strategies with technology, process, organizational design and IT operations. • 5 years of experience at the senior management level or above in an organization of comparable size and complexity to the Government of Alberta. • 5 years of experience developing and delivering communications and presentations at multiple levels of an organization. (eg. Executive Management, Management, Program Sponsors, Steering Committee, Branch Managers, End Users) • 5 years of experience developing and maintaining positive relationships across the organization, from front line staff to executives. • 5 years of experience with the development of business cases for a wide variety of initiatives and projects (strategic, business improvement, information technology, etc.). Desired Qualifications • 5 years of experience conducting, facilitating and interpreting impact and risk assessments across multiple scenarios. • 2 years of experience creating flowcharts/diagrams/analyses, including but not limited to activity, process flow, data flow, entity relationship, mind map, roadmap/plan, gap analysis, organizational chart, SWOT analysis, RACI matrix, UI wireframes, user personas/journey maps. • 5 years of experience evaluating policies, programs, and initiatives using program development principles • 5 years of experience in managing projects in an organization of comparable size and complexity to the GoA. • 5 years of experience in quantitative and qualitative analysis of costs and benefits • 2 years of experience in the design, development and implementation of a digital transformation initiative or digital delivery program • 2 years of experience leading an organization through a large scale technology change impacting all levels of the organization. • 5 years of experience using analytical and problem solving skills to plan and design creative solutions. • 5 years of experience with change management. • 5 years of experience with financial reporting and modeling. • 3 years of experience with government planning and budgeting processes and procedures. • 5 years of experience with the development of communications plans.
