Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Bilingual (English/French) Benefits Analyst to join our team in Ottawa.This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to start a career in the group benefits field or looking to expand their experience in the financial aspects of the group benefits industry. The Bilingual Benefits Analyst will provide group benefits consulting support, including design and financial management for existing medium and large clients and prospects. The Benefits Analyst will work closely with internal consulting teams, interface with vendors, support client deliverables, and ensure quality standards are met. The Bilingual Benefits Analyst will: Contribute to the overall design and management of group medical, dental, life, disability and special risk benefits for clients.Perform annual renewal analysis and negotiations with carriers; prepare client reports and presentationsComplete experience reporting, budget projections and reviewing plan financial performanceReview financial statements for accuracy and adherence to underwriting agreementsGather data and determine cost impact for plan design changesConduct marketings; including preparing and submitting specifications, analysis, cost comparisons and recommendations on marketing responses, and preparing marketing reportSupport the consulting team in preparing documents for client presentations and meetingsParticipate in industry conferences, seminars, etc. in order to keep abreast of industry trends and activitiesBuild relationships with clients, carriers, and internal, cross-functional teams To be successful as a Bilingual Benefits Analyst with People Corporation, you will need: Fluency in both English & French (required)Advanced competency with Microsoft Excel (required)Proficiency with Word, PowerPoint and OutlookStrong analytical skillsExcellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and high level of accuracyAbility to manage and prioritize competing demands in order to meet client and company needsAbility to work independently and in a team environmentStrong written and verbal communication skillsSensitivity to confidential information All-star candidates will have: 2 years’ experience in group benefitsKnowledge of Canadian benefits industry and group benefits financial underwriting requirements for all types of employee benefits plansExperience in the public sector (hospitals, healthcare, municipalities)CEBS designation or willing to obtain What's in it for you: Learn by working alongside our expertsExtended health care and dental benefitsA retirement savings plan with company contributionsA suite of Health & Wellness offeringsMental Health programs and support for you and your familyAssistance for the completion of industry designationsCompetitive compensation At People Corporation we are committed to helping businesses succeed.
