LGH is located in North Vancouver which is internationally known for hiking and skiing trails in the forested mountains.As a Speech Language Pathologist with VCH you will:Assess, diagnose and treat the full range of communication and swallowing disorders.Complete client reports, educate client/family, provide counseling and consultation, and present lectures.Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, risk management and research, and provide orientation to new team members and Speech-Language Pathology students. Qualifications Education & ExperienceCurrent full registration with the College of Speech and Hearing Professionals of British Columbia.Knowledge & Abilities Broad knowledge of evidence based practice.Broad knowledge of other health care disciplines and their role in client care.Broad knowledge of research process and methodology.Basic knowledge of adult education principles, methods and tools.Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.Demonstrated ability to operate related computer equipment.Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize workload.Demonstrated ability to determine and deal effectively with urgent situations, clients/families/residents.Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver presentations.Demonstrated ability to provide effective consultation.Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other healthcare professionals.Physical ability to perform the duties of the job.
