In this role, you will build strong client relationships and support the achievement of our government program objectives.    This contract will end in January 2026.     Number of openings: 4 temporary full-time positions.        What you’ll do:        Apply sound judgement and decision-making practices based on complex financial analysis while making recommendations.   Maintain quality relationships with clients to understand their needs and objectives and explore opportunities.      Review, prioritize and approve loan, subsidy and contribution applications while assessing financial viability.   Manage risks by exercising prudence and due diligence while reviewing, assessing and approving applications.   Work in partnership with clients, stakeholders, and various levels of government by offering advice, support and alternative solutions.   Communicate decisions, interpret policies and respond to inquiries related to CMHC’s housing programs.                                                        Provide input to shape functional policies, products, and processes.                                       Prepare briefing notes, submissions, issue papers, dockets, and responses to Ministerial and Presidential correspondence related to the delivery of CMHC’s Housing programs.           What you should have:       A bachelor's degree in business, finance, or commerce  A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction financing, real estate, financial markets and credit risk analysis.  A demonstrated experience working with financial viability and loan approvals.   A demonstrated experience reviewing, evaluating and prioritizing loans, subsidies and/or contribution applications.                           The ability to research issues, analyze problems, synthesize information and make recommendations.   The ability to manage files and issues (sensitive in nature) using critical thinking and judgement.   The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.                                                   Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.     Posting closing date: Note, the competition may remain active until filled.   Our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion  We’re committed to employment equity and encourage women, Indigenous Peoples, persons with disabilities, veterans and persons of all races, ethnicities, religions, abilities, sexual orientations, and gender identities and expressions to apply.
