Position Summary We are looking for an AV Support Specialist based at our North York location reporting into the IT Operations Team lead. This role will be responsible for providing support and management of fully integrated conference rooms, boardrooms, and large complex environments. You will serve as the main point of contact for the customer, ensuring seamless operation and functional testing of AV and integrated conference room components. Working closely with the receiver's IT management team, the AVSS prioritizes the needs of the receiver, fostering a strong partnership between Nestle IT and various departments to achieve project and support goals.

A day in the life of an AV Support Specialist : As an AV Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing direct end-user and executive support for meeting room Audio Visual systems in our North York and Brampton Offices. You will be involved in troubleshooting, maintaining, and ensuring the seamless operation of standard and integrated rooms and shared spaces, collaborating with internal stakeholders and executive teams to deliver exceptional AV experiences.

You will also :

  • Maintain the AV systems based on global processes (fully enabled).
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the concepts around Microsoft Teams, MS teams rooms and Conferencing, Zoom, WebEx, etc
  • Deliver regular testing of the systems, including daily walkthrough and issues escalations
  • reporting.
  • You will be expected to provide direct end user and executive support of standard and integrated rooms and shared spaces.
  • Provide training and support to business users. Delivers a “white glove” level of customer support to key leadership and events
  • Escalate issues to Admins and other Support Teams as required (e.g., vendor issues, backend issues).
  • Authorize / Onboard Meeting Rooms in Office 365, Teams, Zoom, as well as ownership of device account management and password resets and initiate system updates as needed.
  • Performs other AV related tasks as directed by Nestle IT and its affiliates.

What will make you successful?

  • Experience troubleshooting varied issues that may arise with the AV equipment and different video conferencing technologies including both: Software: Microsoft Teams, Zoom, WebEx, etc. and Hardware: Poly Polycom, HP, Crestron, Logitec, Owl Labs, LG etc
  • Demonstrates proficiency in AV technology and ability to perform all facets of the role.
  • Ability to operate autonomously and manage projects with mínimal oversight from their supervisor.
  • Works autonomously in delivering installation services and providing on-site technical support to users.
  • Ability to leverage advanced troubleshooting strategies to address complex technical issues.
  • Independently assesses and adjusts technical solutions based on the specific issue.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment in determining the most appropriate course.
