SUMMARY – Dispatcher – Level 1 ( 2 FTE)Shift: Friday to Sunday; 06:00 AM to 6:00 PMMonday to Friday ; 8:30 AM to 5:00 PMThe TransX Group of Companies has an exciting opportunity for a Dispatch – Level 1 to join the Operations Department in our Aberfoyle facility. This position is responsible for dispatching and arriving trips to TMW. The Dispatcher is also responsible for effective management and support of an assigned fleet of drivers and trucks. This position will focus on operational excellence and superior customer service, ensuring their fleet operates efficiently as a team in support of our high standards for driver success and customer service performance. Our fleet team will be satisfied once our drivers have successfully met their full potential. As a leader within TransX, the position is expected to align with the TransX Core Values for Teamwork, Safety, Innovation, Accountability, Integrity, and Respect. KEY ACTIVITIESDriver CommunicationConfirm daily ready times/weekly resets with designated fleet.Discuss load requirements with drivers to ensure on time service.Assist drivers in solving all on the road problems as they arise.Communicate issues and concerns to appropriate team members. (planning, customer service, etc)Work with drivers to ensure utilization targets are being met.Arrange to have driver's training modules completed.Strong understanding of transportation regulations and laws is critical when arranging for deliveries and pickups.Create Shipping and Dispatch DocumentsMaintain records of dispatched calls, driver routes, delivery and pick up times, and truck repairs and maintenanceLog customer shipping schedules and complainsMaintain any details regarding route changesIf necessary, keep records of driver training sessionsGenerate Bills and InvoicesCreate billing and invoice documents for shipments Ensuring that drivers receive any necessary documents before making a pickupInvoice customers for payment of shipment pickups and handle any issues regarding charged for these services. Ability to use dispatch softwareSKILLS & KNOWLEDGEEducationHigh School DiplomaPost- Secondary Education- PreferredExperienceOver 2 years of Dispatch Experience – Preferred Experience with programs such as Excel and TMWLogistics / Supply Chain experience an asset Excellent communication skillsCapable of multi-tasking with keen ability to prioritizeAble to make decisions with limited supervisionAnalytical thinking, Strong organizational and priority management skills.Computer literate & ProficientAble to accurately identify and proactively make appropriate suggestions to resolve any problemsKnowledge of the trucking industry and associated rules and regulations (ex.
