Full-Time: Transportation (Maintenance) - General Labourer

We have an IMMEDIATE need for a full time Transportation (Maintenance) - General Labourer to join our Team. The Transportation (Maintenance) - General Labourer will perform the following responsibilities: RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collects garbage from deposit areas, transports to rear courtyard and deposits in 40 yard trash bin by forklift
  • Empties wood waste in wood bin by forklift as required.
  • Empties cardboard recycling in cardboard bin by forklift or by hand as required.
  • Empties shavings/sawdust collection bins for both dust collectors as needed.
  • Brings the previous days plastic recycling to the Red Shed for daily transport away.
  • Brings gray garbage bins to departments as required.
  • Assists with snow blowing in rear courtyard-maintains a clear area for forklifts and liquid waste drums.
  • Maintains a clear area around wood and cardboard bins to assist snow plowing.
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS :

  • Grade 12 education or equivalent.
  • Forklift experience required. Current forklift licence is an asset.

Shift 7:00 am to 3:30 pm
