We are based in Nanaimo BC and currently work with more than 30 First Nations communities in British Columbia and the Yukon. **About the Role Reporting to the Infrastructure Team Lead, the Project Coordinator implements project plans developed by the Project Manager and is responsible for the day-to-day coordination of activities, resources, equipment, meetings, and information. They act as the project champion, organizing project execution to achieve objectives on time and within budget. In addition to coordinating others, the Project Coordinator completes technical components in alignment with their current level of training, skills, and identified role. This person prepares spreadsheets, reports, and project updates as needed to maintain relevant project documentation. They hold key relationships with their counterpart within the client community, contractors, and internal team members working on the project.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Coordinate community infrastructure services related to asset management, infrastructure planning, including residential and community buildings.
  • Identify and prioritize community-scale infrastructure priorities and development processes.
  • Communicate technical findings and recommendations to First Nation clients and other stake holders, both verbally and in writing
  • Advance proposals for developing projects including preparation of budgets and timelines.
  • Liaise with communities, technical teams, government agencies, and stakeholders throughout all project stages.
  • Coordinate projects and tasks to ensure quality, consistency and the completion of deliverables on time and on budget.
  • Maintain clear records of the tasks, activities and details of your work.

What You Will Need

  • Bachelor’s degree or technical diploma in applied sciences, engineering, building sciences, architecture, or other related field.
  • 3-7 years' experience in a similar role
  • Experience working with Indigenous communities is an asset.
  • Registration with EGBC as an EIT or P. Eng considered an asset.

Working Conditions

Remote work (within BC/Yukon), in-office (Nanaimo) work, or hybrid work

Site visits required (4+/year). Travel expenses are reimbursable.

Core work hours are 10:00am-3:00pm, Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week required.

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation pay range for this position is between $67,000 to $84,000 per year.

Extended health & dental benefits and paid sick time also included.
