Train System Engineer RESPONSIBILITIES: Technical missions: Ensure the global performance of the train, Define requirements coming from applicable documents, metiers, standards, certification, security, platform and customer; for the transverse allocation of requirements to the various subsystems in close collaboration with the specialists concerned, Define the external/internal requirements of the train, Define the overall architecture of the train and make arbitration to reach the best compromise, Participate in the functional analysis, Define and validate the operational analysis, Support the FMECA (Failure Mode and Effect Critical Analysis) at the train level in coordination with the RAMS team, Ensure consistency and compatibility between all subsystem specifications, Act as a technical interface with the client in order to provide support to the project manager, V&V activities: Define and perform Train verification strategy in close collaboration with all Engineering metiers and Certification & Validation teams. Lead the train integration and tuning phase. QCD and reporting: Supports Project Engineering Manager for implementation and update of Engineering risks mitigation plan Supports to Project Engineering Manager in improvement proposals in term of QCD and during the change order process.Required Skills / Qualifications:Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, or other relevant diploma Minimum of 10 years engineering experience including 5 years in the railway industry Very good knowledge of requirements management and change management, mandatory Good knowledge in systems engineering Knowledge of DOORS software, an asset Knowledge of MBSE engineering processes (model based system engineering) Fluent English mandatory, French an asset Some travel is to be expected on an occasional basis to other Alstom sites or to customers As a global business, we're an equal-opportunity employer that celebrates diversity across the 70+ countries we operate in.
