Altis Recruitment is seeking a Production Supervisor to join our client, in the manufacturing industry on a permanent basis. The Production Supervisor will play a key role in overseeing manufacturing operations and ensuring the highest standards of product quality, safety, and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and cultivate a shop floor culture focused on Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC), emphasizing waste elimination and adhering to standard work.
  • Lead daily SQDC board meetings, providing training and development to employees, and ensure a safe working environment through direct monitoring and incident response.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement, actively participate in facility lean committees, and support the implementation of the Lean business system.
  • Drive employee engagement by implementing Lean processes and fostering a safe and productive work environment.
  • Participate in the interviewing and selection of new employees, ensuring the team possesses the necessary skills and tools for successful task completion.
  • Ensure proper staffing levels, assign daily work to achieve customer objectives, and regularly assess skill levels and performance, addressing gaps to ensure employees meet expectations.
  • Collaborate across functions, including Quality, Human Resources, and Planning, to facilitate smooth shift transitions.
  • Ensure performance across various activities and metrics within the area, including production, maintenance, and warehouse functions.
  • Monitor processing throughout the shift to assure safety, quality, and delivery, tracking procedural verifications and updating SQDC boards.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of proven experience as a Production Supervisor or similar role in a manufacturing setting.
  • Bilingual (EN/FR)
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team effectively.
  • In-depth knowledge of production processes, quality control principles, and safety protocols.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities to address operational challenges promptly.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in using production management software and MS Office Suite.
