STRIVE supports various clients from small to medium-sized enterprises to Fortune 500 organizations for their permanent, contract, and temporary recruitment needs THE ROLE On behalf of our client, we are looking for an Injection molding process Technician, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient setup and operation of injection molds and injection molding machines. In this role, the Injection molding process Technician is responsible for optimizing and troubleshooting injection molding processes with respect to quality and productivity. This includes verifying the accuracy of the manufactured components against the engineering drawings by measuring dimensions on first-off samples using precision measuring equipment and standard tests, as well as identifying areas of improvement to increase the productivity of the mold. Pay Structure: Hourly Hours: 12 hours, Continental shift, biweekly schedule (Sunday – Saturday), 4 weeks rotation, Full-time Starting Rate: $28.00-$35.00/hour. PERKS A competitive salary with wage progression Flexible Benefit package RRSP match On-site parking Working cloth Technological tools and a safe workplace Learning and development opportunities Positive work environment with a great team atmosphere RESPONSIBILITIES Proficiently start up, shutdown, setup and troubleshoot injection molding, thermoforming and injection blow molding machines Optimize process to increase efficiency, product quality and reduce waste Communicate with prior and oncoming shifts about work assignments and production expectations Review production processes and maintain required documentation Perform all job functions abiding by all Health and Safety rules and regulations (HACCP & SQF) Maintain a clean and safe work environment using 5S principles Provide technical support to the Machine Operators REQUIREMENTS Experience with mounting/dismounting molds in Injection Molding Machines and start-up/shut down procedures Strong mechanical knowledge of injection molding, thermoforming or injection blow molding machines and - processes Willingness and ability to repair, set-up, start-up, troubleshoot and shut down machines if needed Troubleshooting Quality awareness Ability to work efficiently and effectively Experience in a manufacturing environment is a must Ability to solve complex relationships in the technical area Must be reliable, hardworking and have a strong willingness to learn Excellent time management skills with strong attention to detail Strong written/verbal and problem-solving skills Flexibility
