Inventory Control Specialist

Reporting to the Director of Supply Chain, the Inventory Control Specialist plays a key role in coordinating the movement of inventory throughout the supply chain, as well as overseeing inventory control processes and policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead meeting assessing items at risk of stocking out against demand plan
  • Review upcoming sales plan to raise awareness of items at risk of not being available for product launches
  • Support team members with inventory inquiries
  • Coordinate DC and 3PL inventory replenishment planning and related inventory control.
  • Submitting transfer orders so product is at correct locations in correct quantities prior to sale
  • Oversee inventory management processes (transactions, counts, production work orders, adjustments, and inventory analytics)
  • Develop, monitor and track inventory KPIs
  • Implement and execute cycle count process and inventory control policies for inventory accuracy
  • Actively seek opportunities to improve systems and processes.
  • Lead and coordinate with operations stakeholders the year-end inventory count process.
  • Work closely with finance to ensure yearly inventory/cycle count strategy meets audit requirements
  • Work with QA department on Non-conforming material and ensuring end of life disposition

Education & Experience

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 2-3 years of experience relevant experience required
  • Experience in a leadership role recommended
  • Experience in Project Management recommended
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Superior attention to detail and accuracy.
