The Fickle Fig Farm Market is looking for professional and dedicated team players with outstanding baking and technical skills to join our expanding team. We are looking for individuals with baking experience in a commercial setting and availability to work 2 consecutive nights each week, a combination of weekend and week-night shifts.

As an experienced baker with enthusiasm and a passion for quality food you will work under a red seal pastry chef, and will be responsible for ensuring preparation, cooking, taste and presentation are consistently of a high standard. We are looking for an experienced baker who is looking to expand their career, with mínimal training.

The position entails starting and finishing a daily rotation of bread, including sourdough, multigrain, baguettes, brioche, focaccia, raisin bread, and light rye loaves, as well as learning to make and bake croissants, & Danish's. Also responsibilities include prepping fresh pizza dough and brioche buns, and baking off the daily scones, cinnamon buns, muffins, and preparing the doughs and batter for these.

Skills and experience required:

  • At least 1 year of baking experience in a commercial setting (required), credit due for minimum first year of field related education.
  • Efficient working ethic.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Positive and dynamic personality with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Be able to work independently
  • Be willing and eager to learn.
  • Use creativity and ingenuity.
  • Be a problem solver.

Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour
