Responsibilities :
- Greet each parent and child, ensuring parents share personal child related information to
ensure smooth transitions
- Actively interact with children, families, and youth in a positive and professional manner
- Create and maintain a positive atmosphere and build positive self-esteem and confidence
- in children- Be fully engaged in child directed play to ensure each child’s personal needs are met
- Ensure children have adequate time to have a snack while seated, provided by parents.
- Ensure equipment and the facility are clean, well-maintained and safe at all times
- Serve as part of the emergency response team
- Ensure the safety of all members, participants, staff and property by following Town of
Sylvan Lake standards/policies/procedures
Qualifications
- 1 Year of Childminding Experience
- Early Childhood Development Level 1 an asset
- RCMP based Vulnerable Sector Check
- Alberta Food Safety Basics online course preferred
- Standard First Aid with CPR
