Program Leader

  • Part Time - Varied Shifts
  • Starting Wage - $16.96

The Program Leader is responsible for planning, organizing and implementing high quality

programs and camps with an emphasis in high energy, enthusiasm and creativity.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Provide a high level of customer service including greeting and engaging participants and

parents.

  • Plan, organize and deliver high quality, safe and stimulating recreation, art and culture

programs for all ages of participants.

  • Complete all administrative duties, report all concerns, accidents and incidents to

immediate supervisor for follow up and take appropriate action.

  • Interact directly with children and encourage interaction between children.
  • Maintain complete vigilance on duty and serve as part of the emergency response team.
  • Create and maintain a positive atmosphere and build positive self-esteem and confidence

in children.

  • Ensure the safety of all members, participants, staff and property by following Town of

Sylvan Lake standards/policies/procedures and ensuring they are maintained amongst all

members and staff.

QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Minimum 16 years of age
  • Experience facilitating recreation, arts & culture programs
  • Experience working with children, youth and families in a recreational setting
  • Experience running Day Camps & Summer Camps
  • Leader In Training Program (asset)
  • Current Standard First Aid with CPR
