The Property Maintenance Clerk assists with the operational maintenance of sites where BC Emergency Health Services (BCEHS) operates by responding to work orders received through a tracking system, and assigning vendors as required. The Property Maintenance Clerk reviews and assigns work orders against an established list of criteria, organizing the required maintenance, and ensuring appropriate coordination of landlord or tenant responsibilities.

What you’ll do

  • Reviews and responds to incoming work requests received through a work order tracking system, assigns work orders to vendors according to an established list of criteria.
  • Assists with property management issues by liaising with the landlord when required, obtaining quotes and coordinating work to ensure issues are resolved or forwarded to the appropriate department or individual.
  • Responds to outstanding work order requests and provides feedback from landlord or ambulance station crew to Procurement regarding established vendors to ensure due diligence on performance of existing contracts.
  • Responsible for the accuracy of the asset database program including the input of facility-related documentation and contact information; updates and maintains the information to ensure accurate and proper maintenance of records and reporting.
  • Answers inquiries on outstanding purchase orders and related requests for information and follows up on requests as required.
  • Assists with purchase orders and invoicing to ensure Goods & Services have been received prior to sign off and forwarding to Accounts Payable.
  • Responsible for providing and updating staff access badges.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

What you bring

Qualifications :

  • Grade 12 supplemented by property management courses and three years’ recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to deal with others effectively.
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
  • Ability to organize work.
  • Ability to operate related equipment.
