WONDERING WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR? Your role will require you to bring a high standard of scientific excellence to your daily work. These responsibilities will be in your domain. Supporting a team of Construction Environmental Management planners and monitors. Drafting and reviewing Construction Environmental Management Plans and Environmental Protection Plans. In-field and desktop Environmental compliance auditing. Providing oversight and review of daily and weekly reports. Liaising directly with clients and construction contractors. THE QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS WE ARE LOOKING FOR. If you have the following qualifications and are looking for an exciting and challenging opportunity, we would like to hear from you. 5+ years’ experience in an environmental monitor/manager role. Registered professional designation is an asset (e.g., R.P.Bio., P.Geo., P.Ag., or P.Eng.). Erosion and sediment control (ESC) certification is an asset (e.g., CPESC, CISEC, CESCL). Experience with ESC plan auditing and ESC plan preparation is an asset. Experience with major projects (e.g., BC EAO-certified), and provincial (WSA) and federal (DFO) permitting. Drafting, reviewing, and monitoring the implementation of complex Construction Environmental Management Plans. Identifying and managing environmental risk and compliance. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality and excellence is required. Effective and demonstrated communicator with strong inter-personal skills. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, dynamic business with strict deadlines, budgets, and quality standards.
