Reporting to the VP of HR and People Development, the HRBP is both a strategic and hands-on role and is critical to executing our talent initiatives and priorities. You will be responsible for: Acts as a trusted business partner providing coaching, guidance and support to assigned teams and leaders in the areas of employee relations, performance management, employee engagement talent management, succession planning, conflict resolution, compensation, communication and change management.Provides people leadership coaching to leaders and supports their development as effective leaders.Leads by example and helps leaders foster a value driven culture of accountability, engagement and high performance.Support talent acquisition as needed in a way that ensures the best talent that fits with Wurth Canada’s culture is hired.Supports leaders in the successful onboarding of new hires by partnering on the preparation of a solid onboarding plan for each new hireCollaborates with the HR team to continuously improve our processes in the areas of Employee Relations, Performance Development, investigations etc.Leads and/or supports HR initiatives and projects in collaboration with the HR team and internal stakeholders. Seeks out process improvement opportunities and leads initiatives to develop and implement solutions.Leads and supports the development of company-wide policies, procedures and programs, aligned to industry best practice.Helps drive employee engagement; works with leaders and teams to action engagement and culture programs and initiatives.Delivers training on HR topics to leaders, new hires and teams.Leads by example as an ambassador of our culture; drives change by partnering with business leaders and other internal groups to proactively manage changes impacting team members. What YOU will bring to the team: A bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Industrial Relations, or a related field. A completed or near completion CHRP or CHRL certification preferred.Bilingual English/French is required (written and oral).10 plus years in HR related fields with 5 years plus of progressive HR experience with a proven track record in effective employee relations management.Prior experience in all areas of the HRBP role, supporting performance improvement, conflict resolution, employee relations, coaching culture, compensation, talent management, employee engagement, career development, recognition, communication and change management.Proven ability to develop successful coaching partnerships with leaders.Strong knowledge of labour and employment laws in particular in Quebec. Knowledge of employment requirements in other provinces would be an asset (in particular BC, Alberta, Ontario).Experience leading and/or supporting HR projects from concept to implementation.Strong interpersonal, communication and influencing skills, which can be applied at all levels.A passion for people, a strong sense of personal integrity, and a desire to do the right thing.Independent, organized, and passionate about detail.A team player; excellent at building relationships within your team and across teams.Experience with HR best practices and a track record of owning projects end to end.Excellent multi-tasking skills and ability to juggle multiple activities, projects and deadlines at once.Proven ability to think critically, problem solve, and anticipate issues before they arise in order to proactively suggest solutions to business needs/goals.
