As a Technician ll - Security with Paladin Technologies, you will collaboratively review, understand, analyze (for correctness), and implement installation blueprints and plans from Project Managers and Sales Teams to complete installations. This role requires the ability and know how to properly complete the installation, understand and follow the BOM, and be capable of making adjustments or finding alternative solutions as needed to complete installations to client satisfaction. Though based in Ottawa you may be required to travel to job sites throughout the region. Our Integrated Systems Technicians are responsible for installing and servicing electronic security systems, including access control, CCTV, and intrusion alarms.RESPONSIBILITIES: Installation (including prewiring, installing, programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting) and maintenance of integrated security systemsDesign system and layoutProvide the customer with training for proper system usage, and respond to technical inquiriesComplete detailed and accurate paperworkPerform other tasks as requiredYou may be required to be “on-call” before or after your regularly scheduled hours, and/or on a day when you are not regularly scheduled to workYou may be required to work “night shifts” when needed based on project/service requirementsQUALIFICATIONS: 3-5 years of experience in a technical role within the integrated security industry Postsecondary training in electronics or equivalent is considered an asset Vendor Certification in low voltage systems is preferredExcellent written and verbal communication skillsValid Driver’s License with clean abstractAble to work independentlyStrong interpersonal skillsTo learn more about the Integrated Security Solutions at Paladin Technologies, please click . Company Info:Paladin Technologies is a premier North American complex systems integrator for building technology solutions, including IP security, alarms & monitoring, audio visual, low-voltage infrastructure, and networking.
