The Opportunity : Industrial Force is Actively Seeking a Payroll Administrator for our office in Sylvan Lake, AB. - The Payroll Administrator will collect, verify and process payroll information, as well as determine pay and benefit entitlements for Industrial Force employees. The successful hire will maintain accurate payroll records, and provide payroll information within the company to ownership on a regular basis.

Core Responsibilities :

  • Maintain and update employee information, such as records of employee attendance, leave and overtime to calculate pay and benefit entitlements, using manual or computerized systems
  • Prepare and verify statements of earnings for employees, indicating gross and net earnings and deductions such as taxes, garnishments and benefits
  • Prepare, verify and process all employee payroll related payments, including regular pay, benefit payments, and special payments such as bonuses and vacation pay
  • Complete, verify and process forms and documentation for administration of benefits
  • Prepare payroll related filings and supporting documentation, such as year-end tax statements, pension, records of employment and other statements
  • Compile, review, and monitor statistical reports, statements, and summaries related to pay and benefits accounts
  • Prepare and balance period-end reports and reconcile issued payrolls to bank statements
  • Identify and resolve payroll discrepancies
  • Will be required to assist in the development or implementation of payroll policies, procedures or process

Payroll Administrator Qualifications

  • Payroll Association Certification a significant asset

  • Payroll administrator or bookkeeping experience required

  • Previous Oil & Gas, Heavy Industrial payroll administrative experience an asset, not necessarily a requisite

  • Willing and able to work traditional business hours on a Monday - Friday schedule (Flex time available)

  • Must reside local to Sylvan Lake and be able to commute daily (This is not a remote position) :

  • Positive attitude and a drive to learn new skills; proven track record of advancement while earning additional responsibility
