Pala is a technology company at its heart and is committed to being a mobile first developer of real-money gaming applications.As part of the Product Team the “Software Product Manager – Platform” has the task of producing technical specification documentation for the online gaming platform. This is done by pulling together the business goals and technical requirements needed and then crafting specification documents that the development team will build from. Working with the Director of Product and in conjunction with other business verticals the Software Product Manager’s role requires an understanding of how to create scope documents, wireframing, core intuitive UX and a complete knowledge of the software development cycle. The Software Product Manager is a champion for the end user. In tandem with the ability to implement a user experience that is entertaining the role requires learning the regulatory landscape and ensuring technical compliance. The platform will need to be half Vegas lights and half online banking. Thrilling gaming experiences backed up with thorough money management.ResponsibilitiesProduce business/technical specification documents that will scope out what development needs to build.Collaborate with other business verticals to gather requirements ensuring the product built meets the needs of the business.Liaison with 3rdparty service providers to understand how to integrate their services into the platform.Perform competitive analysis to understand the market and to seek out good user practices.Research technology trends to find new, creative ways to solve old problems.Learn the regulations, including responsible gaming practices, needed for compliance in the jurisdictions where the business operates.Be an advocate for the end user, implementing an intuitive and robust user experience.Reporting to the Director of Product.Documenting and managing the product development life cycle to ensure smooth releasing of product feature in priority order.Working closely with the development team to coordinate the product priorities and track the implementation of key product features.Timely interdepartmental communications with the goal to inform the key stakeholders on upcoming development release activities.RequirementsProven experience overseeing all elements of the product development lifecycle.Expert knowledge of the Apple app submission process.Excellent interpersonal skills – proven good working relationship with development teams.Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills.Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience.Previous mobile and web development experience is preferred.Soft Skills:Ability to work in a deadline driven, fast-paced environment.Ability to adapt to new environments, and the ability to identify, propose and implement changes and improvements.Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.Exhibits the important balance of patience and determination that allows entrepreneurial businesses to flourish.Organized and thorough.Collaborative team player, excited and willing to do what it takes to get the job done.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentBenefits:Casual dressDental careDisability insuranceExtended health careLife insuranceOn-site gymOn-site parkingPaid time offRRSP matchVision careWork from homeWork Location: Hybrid Remote - 3 days per week in North York, ON M2J 5B5
