Robert Half is looking for a Director of Finance and Administration to join a well-respected, non-profit, membership-based company. As part of the management team, the director of finance and administration must have strong leadership, management, technology, analytical, strategic planning, and communication skills. Advantages: -Flexible/Hybrid -Free parking -Excellent benefits package including a premium pension Responsibilities: -Supervise financial planning and budget management functions -Hire, train, and retain finance staff -Oversee daily operations of the finance and accounting department -Design, establish, and maintain an organizational structure to effectively accomplish the departments goals and objectives -Adhere to local, state, and federal budgetary reporting requirements -Perform analysis on operating results, comparing against budget -Recommend benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance -Manage the preparation of financial outlooks and financial forecasts -Develop financial analysis prior to contract negotiations and product investment decisions -Assist in establishing short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures -Manage the preparation of all financial reports -Work with department managers to develop five-year business plans -Maintains and reviews budgeting and forecasting models -Oversee insurance and risk management Qualifications: -Professional accounting designation (CPA) mandatory. -Strong knowledge of cost control, budgeting, accounting, and finance principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles -Possess strong Microsoft Excel skills -Ability to manage all Finance, IT, Human Resources, Legal and Risk, Administration and Operations -Very detail oriented and expert analytical thinking skills -Experience with multiple financial and accounting reporting systems -Experience with Board reporting and reporting to finance and audit committees. -Non-profit experience in a national membership based organization is mandatory!
