The Service Assurance team are business enablers - we combine an understanding of the business, with a passion for technology, to help our customers achieve their goals. We aren’t your typical IT group - we rely on our IT Fundamentals to drive the ‘how’ we behave and conduct business.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Service Assurance, the Service Assurance Analyst, Incident is responsible for working with stakeholders across IT to ensure existing systems are performing as designed and help to have continuous improvement opportunities championed.

What you will do : Service Assurance

  • Experience running Major Incidents for large enterprises as a Major Incident Manager
  • ITIL Outcome Focused - Less Incidents, Seamless Change, Problem Identification & Elimination and Service Improvement
  • Manage delivery of services on a day-to-day basis
  • Drive resolution of issues
  • Direct, manage, plan, and administer MI/SWAT activities
  • Identify the need for, review and approve service improvement plans to address endemic issues
  • Review and approve root cause analysis for systemic issues with production
  • Communicate with business on certain incident management statuses and progress
  • Broker effective communications between vendor and business to develop resolutions to systemic/pervasive issues
  • Analyzes clients’ operations to understand their strengths and weaknesses to determine opportunities to automate processes and functions
  • Acts as a change agent to implement and manage quality improvement processes in service delivery management

Service Improvement

  • Provide input to IT leadership on both short-term and long-term portfolio planning to enable the achievement of “No Business Disruptions”
  • Collaborate with Vendor Management to develop negotiation addendums to service requirements and SLAs
  • Work with all stakeholders to promote a culture of business focused outcomes, consistently work closely with IT support staff and management team to lead resolution efforts of high and critical incidents

Qualifications

  • College diploma or university degree in business administration, information systems, or other related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 3-5 years of ServiceNOW and ITIL experience
  • Experience working through a large transformation within a complex/matrixed organization
  • Demonstrated project management knowledge
  • Successful track record of leading major initiatives and achieving desired mandate
  • Experience leading and participating on committees
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong coaching, conflict resolution, relationship and team building skills, and demonstrated ability to influence
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to write clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings and styles
