Warehouse Supervisor - Electronics

Quester Tangent is seeking a highly organized supervisor who thrives in a warehousing environment. You will oversee all aspects of our warehouse operations, including shipping/receiving, kitting and inventory. Your Duties and Responsibilities include :

  • Oversee all aspects of the warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, kitting and inventory
  • Lead, train and mentor a small team of warehouse personnel
  • Prepare inventory reports
  • Maintain inventory accuracy
  • Manage cycle counting
  • Verify and coordinate inventory flow including Kitting
  • Manage and maintain Production shop floor ordering
  • Resolve inventory gaps and discrepancies
  • Plan and lead physical inventories
  • Manage all logistics related activities
  • Ensure timely and accurate Shipping and Receiving
  • Configuration Management
  • Receiving inspection - Coordinate, inspect and verify all incoming goods/shipments
  • Ensure a safe and compliant work environment

How you will spend your day :

  • Manage all inventories in stockroom, kitting and work-in-process
  • Manage daily cycle counts, reconcile inventory discrepancies, FIFO management, and maintain lot control
  • Manage and perform kitting process utilizing best practices. Kit materials for Production floor; identify material shortages and work with Purchasing to expedite missing items
  • Ensure materials are accurately labeled & identified while maintaining a clean working environment
  • Review on-hold material and work for disposition
  • Monitor inventory reports and resolve discrepancies between ERP system and physical counts. Input and file inventory transactions into ERP system
  • Maintain month-end and year-end inventory accuracy through scheduled and documented cycle counts
  • Perform transactions, especially adjustments and corrections to ensure quantities and costs are correct
  • Maintain inventory integrity through periodic audits
  • Research and correct inventory errors as reported by Finance, Purchasing, or Production
  • Manage the coordination of the year-end Physical Inventory activity
  • Correct shortages that occur
  • Train staff on SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures)
  • Manage all aspects of Shipping, Receiving and maintain a solid process to support On Time Delivery
  • Remain up-to-date on international shipping guidelines and regulations, including a solid understanding of Duties, Tariffs and INCOTERMS

What you will need to succeed :

  • Post-secondary education in a related field
  • Proficiency with ERP/ business software; advanced MS Office skills with strong mathematics proficiency
  • Effective communications, planning, writing and prioritizing skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of electronics; standards, quality control principles and best practices
  • Excellent knowledge of supply chain and logistics principles
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing practices is a plus.

Experiences that will help you thrive :

  • 3 years of Inventory/Stockroom or Warehouse experience preferred
  • Experience in a production supply chain environment (shipping, receiving and/or transportation)
  • Experience in an electronics environment is required
  • Experience with warehousing technology and equipment; shipping systems
  • Working knowledge of bar code equipment and systems.
