Perform preventative maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment in accordance with standardized procedures. Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment, including PLC and motor controls, safety sensors and relays. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment, including pneumatic and hydraulic systems, drives, bearings and gears. Ensuring that replacement parts are on order to minimize downtime Repairing and replacing parts as required by the company’s preventative maintenance program Carrying out electrical maintenance procedures. Tuning equipment and ensuring that adequate controls and safety measures are functional Diagnosing and troubleshooting electronic system faults Work in a safe professional manner at all times, adhering to company policies, Provincial and Federal requirements Perform other duties as assigned REQUIREMENTS 442A Industrial Electrician or interprovincial license Strong experience with PLC Programming and motor controls troubleshooting Strong problem-solving skills related to troubleshooting equipment issues, preferably in a fast-paced manufacturing/industrial environment Experience with robots and automation Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross functional team members Mechanical aptitude/ interest Proven ability to adapt to changing priorities and working conditions Ability to manage tasks in fast paced, dynamic, timing critical work environment while being a team player within the department and division Ability to successfully interact with all levels of employees in a multicultural environment 2 – 3 years of experience in plastic industries (injection molding, thermoforming, packaging) Excellent communication skills, ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
