JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the Operations Manager, this position is responsible for assisting in the planning and organization of the warehouse operations.

Position Type : Permanent Full Time

Location :Guelph, Ontario

Hours :Friday to Monday, 6:00 am to 4:00 pm

CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise team members and coach, train and mentor DC team members in the areas of productivity, quality, safety and Medline Core Values and address any concerns they may have
  • Advise, train, assist new staff and act as available contact on the warehouse floor
  • Assist the Senior Operations Leadership in maintaining a safe work environment for DC team members and in keeping a keen eye for any potential hazards (retraining, coaching and counseling regarding performance, safety policies and supporting a safety culture through team meetings and activities to enhance safety awareness)
  • Maintains inventory integrity through training and implementations of proper techniques and through use of cycle counts
  • Helps ensures timely distribution of product by delegating staff and usage of warehouse machinery
  • Supports operations team members to ensure that all LMS observations are completed on time and are filled out accurately
  • May interact with clients on the Company’s behalf with regards to shipping and receiving. Will share in the responsibility with shipping efficiency.
  • Responsible for all customer orders to ensure on time shipment and accuracy of the inventory
  • Is a strong business partner that works closely with customer service to resolve warehouse related issues.
  • Work with the Talent Acquisition team to interview, select, hire, and employ an appropriate number of employees.
  • Provide oversight and direction to the employees in the operating unit in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures. Has a proven track record of influencing continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications : QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 3 years of warehouse experience
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a leadership role
  • Experience with SAP required
  • Understands warehouse machinery and has necessary licenses (for Walkie, Reach, etc.)
  • Have the ability to multi task in a fast pace work environment
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Experience with or desire to learn performance metrics, process improvement.
  • Ability to handle changing priorities and use good judgment in stressful situation
