OVERVIEW

This position is in an IT service desk environment, assisting Ridley’s community with hardware, software, and network connectivity problems with a strong emphasis on customer service and support. In addition, the individual with be a crucial stakeholder in completing innovative IT projects during the summer months.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Respond with prompt first-person customer service when requested. This could entail the setup, deployment, troubleshooting, or instructional use of various computer, audio visual, or telecommunication systems on campus; Assist in building a new knowledge base system for students, staff and parents; Assist with various hardware/software implementations across the campus; Responsible for summer preventative maintenance across the campus; Design and assist with the implementation of a new Helpdesk ticketing process; Preparation of computers for new hires, creating MS Office 365 account, TigerNET account etc; Assist with the faculty/staff lease returns; Work hours may vary; Perform other duties as assigned;

QUALIFICATIONS

Enrolled in Computer Programmer Analyst program; Provide excellent customer service and be able to work in a collaborative environment; Be a self-motivated and well-organized individual; Ability to assess and troubleshoot a variety of problems and issues as they arise; Ability to identify problem trends and broader technology issues, and research and recommend solutions; Ability to identify and assess emerging trends and technologies, and determine their applicability to the school/college; TECHNICAL SKILLS

***Understanding of both Mac OS X and Microsoft Windows operating systems; Understanding of networking environments (LAN & Wireless); Knowledge of various web-publishing techniques and tools; Installation and diagnostics of computer components (Video/Network cards, Memory etc.).
