Your responsibilities will include those listed below. RESPONSIBILITIES Operate machine tools to perform machining operations such as milling, drilling, boring or other machining operations within a timely mannerLoad and unload parts in a safe and productive mannerAchieve and maintain cycle timesMonitor and maintain tooling in peak conditionsPerform quality checks as required. Clean & verify dimensions of parts machined using precision measuring instruments as needed. Complete all associated quality documentationComplete scheduled preventative maintenanceComplete SPS Charts and take necessary action as per SPC trainingParticipate in maintaining a clean and safe work environmentPerform daily machine checks per preventative maintenance program and safety procedures.Practice general housekeeping, including but not limited to, his/her work area, chip removal, floor areas, benches, storage areas to ensure a safe work environmentComplies with all company rules, policies, procedures and programsFollow established safety practices and regulationsCommunicate effectively with peers, engineers, quality assurance and managementAvailable for day and evening shifts as requiredComplete duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS Minimum of 1 of year related work experience in a CNC facility/environmentStrong math skillsFamiliar in the use of various measuring devices including caliper, digital indicator, micrometer, height gaugeAbility to read blueprints, drawings, charts, tables, quality documentation and various symbols regarding tolerances, surface finishes etc. is an assetAbility to effectively communicate on both oral and written forms to various levels within the organizationsMotivated and able to work independently with minimal supervisionStrong analytical skills and a high attention to detail and accuracyPositive attitude towards new ideasCommitted to continuous improvementDesire to expand knowledge and experience in the trade of CNC machining We offer a competitive total compensation package which includes: Company sponsored health and dental benefits packageLife InsuranceCompetitive wagesFree on-site parkingOpportunities for professional growth and advancementTeam lunchesFriendly and collaborative work environment fostering growthOn-site paid trainingPaid uniform and work boot program Up to 3 paid days during Christmas holidaysOvertime after 42.5 hours We are committed to promoting accessible recruitment as outlined in the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act.
