Salary: CA$ 45,000 - CA$ 53,000

Job Summary

  • Process Electronic Fund Transfers (EFT), wire transfers and cheques

  • Reconcile and process company credit card payments

  • Review and process expense reports; ensuring expenses are properly supported with appropriate receipts/backups, proper approvals and coding.

  • Reconcile daily bank payments with GL

  • Maintain vendor accounts by reconciling statements and related transactions

  • Respond to vendor inquiries in a timely and professional manner

  • Process supplier invoices/VCRs ;

  • Perform other general accounting duties:

  • Assist with journal entries, monthly reports and closings

  • Post accounting documents and records

  • File and maintain clerical records and reports pertinent to the accounting department

  • Assist with interim and year-end audit requests

  • Other adhoc tasks as required.

Skills and Competencies:

  • 2 years + accounts payable experience
  • At least one to two years of college completed, specialized college accounting courses or equivalent work experience
  • Strong problem solving, organization, and analytical skills
  • Ability to prioritize work in a busy environment and meet deadlines
  • Attention to detail, accuracy and completeness
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to maintain effective working relationships with staff and vendors
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite
  • SAGE X3 software experience is an asset
