Learning Disabilities Association of Toronto District (LDATD) Program: Youth Employment Program Position: Program Coordinator Primary Function: Ongoing coordination, leadership, supervision and overseeing of all operational and functional aspects of the project operations, deliverables and targets Supervision of 4 employment staff in supporting LD Youth in obtaining knowledge, skills, training and meaningful employment with a strong focus on innovative employment curriculum development, strong knowledge of social sector and LMI, effective financial monitoring skills, solid project performance monitoring will enable success in this role. Providing services to Youth 15-30, Areas of Responsibility: - Coordination and supervision of program staff - Lead knowledge sharing, agency communication, coaching, modelling core agency culture among program team to foster a safe and inclusive environment for vulnerable youth - Development and coordination of program curriculum, activities and program lifecycles - Develop project documentation and resources for utilization and distribution among program participants (clients and employers) - Oversight all program and client documentation for proper retention and confidentiality of participant data - Coordinate and oversee the Program Outreach Plan/Marketing plans to employers, community partners and stakeholders - Prepare statistical and narrative reports, financial claims and deploy evaluation framework as required - Monitor outcomes, targets and success rates to ensure compliance with funding agreements - Monitor service delivery integration of program participants (assessments, needs determination and case management), review training and work experience placement plans - monitor employer’s engagement and develop strong employer relationships and networks - Effective financial monitoring (overall program expenditures within the allocated budget) - Oversee intake, recruitment of participants and orientation/on boarding sessions - Administer evaluation framework for all cohorts and program Other Responsibilities: - Work closely with industries/sectors and other agency staff to ensure updated information on occupation prospects - Continuously search for innovative, responsive and relevant LMI and service modalities to improve programming - Attend staff meetings and participate in reporting and decision-making as required - Support functional HR responsibilities for team of 4 - Facilitate constructive, culturally sensitive communication between LDATD staff and clients - Coordinate information, activities and linkages with other LDATD programs - Report to the Executive Director Skills & Qualifications: - A degree in Humanities, Career Practice, Social Sciences, Business or any related fields and/or the equivalent combination of education and work experience - Minimum four years of progressive experience and knowledge in project and program coordination, curriculum development, overcoming systemic barriers, finances and staff, program delivery - Expertise in youth pre-employment and employment supports for, curriculum development and implementation, training opportunities, labour market information and resources - Practical experience in monitoring program expenditures, budgeting government funded agreements and contract administration - Demonstrated job knowledge of all aspects of employment, career development, job searching, coaching employability, transferable and life skills, job retention/maintenance - Proven records of policy and protocols development and ability to implement - Understanding Learning Disabilities (LDs) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (AD(H)D), barriers individuals face in everyday life for social and economic integration - Demonstrated sensitivity to the diversity, accessibility and cultural factors of program participant - Proven experience working with varied profile of job seekers (individuals experiencing challenges to employment / long term unemployment, individuals with exceptionalities, newly graduates, OW and ODSP recipients, newcomers, people in career transition) - Demonstrated record of marketing and promotion skills, community outreach and service network development - Excellent interpersonal skills, team work, practice patience, tact and diplomacy, and demonstrated listening ability - Demonstrated creativity and problem-solving Deadline for submissions: Until filled LDATD is an inclusive employer committed to ensuring accessibility.
