Main duties as a Shipper/Receiver:

  • Receive incoming shipments
  • Unpack/pack shipments and enter information into a database
  • Respond to project managers regarding shipments
  • Maintain and organize warehouse space
  • Coordinate shipments with project management groups
  • Maintain supplies

Overall qualities:

  • Must work well with people in a team environment
  • Must be self-initiated, self-motivated and organized
  • Must have good writing, speaking, typing and time-management skills
  • Must be able to establish priorities and handle multiple ongoing tasks without direct supervision
  • Must be customer-service oriented and outgoing
  • Punctuality and attendance are essential to success in this role

Minimum qualifications:

  • 2 years of relevant experience is required
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Heavy lifting is required
  • High school diploma or equivalent education
  • Shipping/receiving experience and administration skills are an asset
  • Drivers License is required
  • Forklift operation certificate is an asset
