Nue Holdings is a growing real estate private equity and hospitality firm seeking a full-time General Manager / Business Manager. The role will be involved in all company activities, including our investment arm, but with a focus on our largest division, StayNue.com, which operates vacation and short-term rentals across 5+ markets in the US.The Nue Mission: We seek a world of new discoveries, shared experiences, and personal choice. Nue is our vision to accommodate the world by embracing hospitality in all aspects of living and beyond.The General Manager (GM) will remotely oversee a global team of 20+ employees and contractors (with ~ 5 direct reports) across 5+ countries covering Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, Finance, and IT. The GM will report to the Founder/CEO of the company who is an experienced business owner, a Harvard alumnus, and former Manager and CPA at a top consulting firm.Top candidates are excited about impacting a growing business, working alongside a seasoned CEO, and executing on a long-term vision.We seek candidates with a can-do attitude, they get the job done, and happen to be experienced in project (and people) management, hospitality, and real estate.HIRING PROCESS: The more we understand you, the better! The office location will be determined based on proximity to Toronto West. The office will be utilized by the CEO, GM, and future hires in Sales and Marketing.WORKING HOURS: 9am-5pm EST Monday-Friday, with flexibility expected when needed.COMPENSATION RANGE: Based on demonstrated experience.ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Promote a culture of high performance and work ethic.Make important policy, planning, and strategy decisions.Create project plans, define scope of work, create deadlines, and follow through on completion of team tasks.Supervise staff during your regular shift but also ensure all shifts are productive and effective (ie meet with them when needed). Our shift coverages are roughly 9am-5pm EST and 4pm-12am EST, 7 days a week (subject to change)Hold daily stand ups and regular department-level meetings. Manage or create SOPs, and oversee to ensure they are consistently followed. Be a source for the team to handle issues across the company.Create training and coaching programs, take part in performance reviews.QUALIFICATIONS:Top candidates are excited about impacting a growing private equity and hospitality business, working alongside a seasoned CEO, and executing on a long-term vision.We seek candidates with a can-do attitude, who get the job done, and happen to be experienced in project (and people) management, hospitality, and real estate.Target candidates also possess the following: 5+ years experience in project (and people) management, hospitality, and real estate.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Highly analytical (ie has a technical background) with high attention to detail.Can work in a startup-style environment where problem-solving and efficiency is needed.
